Description

The Purchasing Manager Europe organises a professional procurement approach in the Europe Region. He develops regional purchasing synergies and contracts, in cooperation with the site purchasing teams for whom he is functionally responsible. He reports to the Group Manager Purchasing. As a member of the Group Purchasing management team he is actively involved in group purchasing strategy and implementation. As an excellent people manager he coachs the site procurement managers and defines their personal objectives, in cooperation with the site manager. He sets objectives on saving and efficiency for own team and site procurement teams. He stimulates networking, exchanging of best practices and benchmarking between all the procurement professionals who are active in local, regional and group procurement.

Specific Info

Solid background in industry, mechanical engineering or equivalent experiences. Knowledge of Strong managerial experience in an international organisation. Good knowledge of SAP MM and other purchasing applications. Fluent in French, Dutch and English. Prepared to travel. Location: Belgium
